ALPINE HOUSE

Alpine, Utah
Modern Style

Mark and Robin searched high and low until they came across the perfect lot in Alpine. The apple orchard across the street and the inspiring views of the mountains to the north and east provide the perfect backdrop to their modern retreat. Mark is a design professional with a ton of style and his talents enabled him to pull together the materials and features of this work of art.

The warm wood siding, the sharp lines of stucco, the beautiful metal siding and the cleanly cut natural stone create a stunning exterior that won’t be missed by passersby. The entry through the custom pivot door with a generous side lite, welcomes you into the fabulous music room. Huge picture windows lighten the space and the polished concrete floor adds a rich texture. A sleek iron staircase with solid walnut treads make an impressive statement in the entry area. The stairs lead to a loft with an amazing view of the mountains to the east. The terrace just off the loft allows for full enjoyment of the southern exposure. Bedrooms and an office with a large deck complete the upper floor.

The kitchen consists of beautifully simple white cabinets, accented with rich walnut panels. It includes a hidden walk-in pantry with ample out-of-sight storage. The polished concrete floors are warmed with radiant heat and add an almost bullet-proof surface which will last forever. High quality appliances paired with efficient design make this a dream kitchen.

The walnut theme continues into the spacious high-ceilinged great room with the modern fireplace hearth. The north facing wall of windows and the natural stone faced chimney make this gathering room both functional and inspirational. The theater, laundry, and master bedroom finish out the main floor. This home includes an oversized 3 car garage, basement apartment and lovely large covered and uncovered patio areas.

“You helped us not only build our dream home, but you also helped us gain a better understand of amazing craftsmanship. Thank you.”
